TDS – Late Payment Interest Calculator

  4. 2. Interest on Late TDS Payment
  5. Interest is charged on late payments under two scenarios:
  6. When TDS is not deducted:
    • An interest of 1% per month (or part of the month) is applied for the period starting from the date when TDS was required to be deducted up to the date when it is actually deducted.
  7. When TDS is deducted but not paid:
    • The interest rate increases to 1.5% per month (or part of the month) from the date when TDS was deducted to the date it is finally paid.
